Throughout my career as a Norland Nanny and Maternity Nurse, my greatest priority has always been the health, comfort and wellbeing of the newborns and children in my care. Having worked closely with hundreds of babies over 14 years, I've been fortunate enough to witness first-hand what truly makes a difference to their comfort, sleep and health.

I began to notice that many of the muslins, swaddles, blankets and fitted sheets available for babies, although beautiful to look at, often felt rough against their delicate skin. Some babies, particularly those with sensitive skin or eczema, would develop irritation or rashes after prolonged contact with certain fabrics.

In contrast, the few bamboo products I came across in family homes seemed different. They were exceptionally soft, gentle against even the most delicate skin, and I noticed that babies often appeared calmer, more comfortable and settled when wrapped or sleeping in bamboo fabrics.

After more research, I discovered that bamboo is naturally breathable, temperature regulating, hypoallergenic and incredibly soft, making it an ideal choice for delicate newborn skin. It was everything I had been looking for throughout my years caring for babies.

That research, combined with my professional experience, inspired me to create Bambuu Baby.
