1:1 Postnatal Consultations
Including Specialised support for Newborns suffering with Digestive Discomfort (Reflux and Colic)
This covers all areas of postnatal care and specialised support for newborns suffering with digestive discomfort without the use of medication.
This consultation time is for you to discuss any concerns that you have about your newborn, lactation, feeding issues, sleeping habits, their change in behaviour, routine or discomfort.
I provide a very relaxed, non judgemental space that allows you to ask any question no matter how big or small.
It is important to me that after our consultation you have the confidence, reassurance and tools to make the changes your newborn needs, in order to create a normal level of comfort, contentment and bonding within the family.
I believe that in order to provide your baby with the best care, you not only need to have the correct education, guidance and support as well as feeling empowered, confident and valued to do so.
-
Step 1:
Parents complete a small questionnaire outlining the concerns or problems their newborn is facing, to provide me with some background information before our call.
Step 2:
Your enquiry will be followed up by a free 15 - 20 minute phone call to discuss the questionnaire, learn more about what your baby is struggling with and what you are wanting to achieve and remedy from the consultation. This gives us an opportunity to consider whether I am the best person to help you.
Step 3:
We will then arrange a face to face or virtual appointment to explain what I believe the issues and causes are surrounding your baby’s discomfort. I will discuss with you what we can do to remedy them through adapting techniques, timings and routines. We will discuss how we can implement this new regime into your baby’s day to day schedule to reduce/eliminate this discomfort and establish a realistic estimate for improvement.
Step 4:
I will provide a full written report consisting of everything we have discussed in our consultation:
Identifying and Assessing your baby’s discomfort concerns.
Responding to them by making changes to their current schedules.
Discussing ways in which to maintain and reinstate back to their correct digestive balance.
A timescale for expected improvement and revision if necessary.
Step 5:
I will follow up a couple of days after my visit to see how you are progressing and whether you have any questions.
-
An understanding of your baby’s digestive system to comprehend the possible reasons behind these issues.
Methods for you to use to help ease and eliminate this discomfort
Winding and calming techniques

You may like to book follow-up sessions after the initial consultation to ensure continuity and resolution of problems. These can be booked either as single repeat session or a series of sessions over a number of weeks, for which you would receive a 10% discount if paid in advance.
It may be the case that you would prefer a home visit followed by virtual consultations or vice versa. I am very happy to fit in with parents’ preferences or to ‘experiment’ with patterns of support most suited to the family and even dipping in and out based on occasional need.
